how minx was born

In the winter of 2004 I was lying in bed with my then girlfriend. We had attended a lifestyle party the previous night. She exclaimed to me that she wanted to go to a party with people closer to her age, and where the party guests were truly all attractive. We jumped online and started to search.

We found New Jersey had no such party. At the time I was the regional director of a large EMS company, I owned a private Lifeguarding Company, and I was a reserve Naval Corpsman (combat medic) with the United States Marine Corps, so obviously I had no time to start a lifestyle party. But when your gorgeous 19 year-old girlfriend asks for something, you give it to her.

While lying in bed we started to plan what our party would be. The first thing we would need is a name, so we thought hard. We came up with a dozen or so names, but none felt right. The TV was on and Austin Powers was showing. Austin states, "she shags like a Minx..."

Well, Minx sounded like it might work...but we kept thinking. Austin Powers goes to commercial, and we flip channels. Batman is on the next channel we come to and literally the second we begin to watch it, the Penguin says, "...the Minx keeps putting out all the wrong signals..." We jump out of bed and race to the computer to get the definition of a Minx!

Definition of a Minx:

1. A pert girl; Pert: saucily free and forward : flippantly cocky and assured : being trim and chic

2. A wanton woman Wanton: hard to control : causing sexual excitement : a pampered person or animal

BINGO!!! We had our name. Minx it was...and off we went...

The idea was then, and is now, to:

1. Invite a sexy, hot crowd.
2. Use a sexy, hot location.
3. Make sure the sexy, hot location is financially feasible to the sexy, hot people.
